Looking to get to know your town, or to share your knowledge of the Socorro area and its
attractions? The Socorro County Chamber of Commerce welcomes volunteers to help visitors at our walk-in
center on the Plaza. Responsibilities include meeting and greeting visitors and tourists. Providing accurate and
unbiased information to visitors and taking messages for people inquiring about Chamber business services, or directing them to the
relevant chamber staff. Simple office duties including occasionally answering phones and restocking shelves with
tourism brochures, keeping the brochure storage room tidy and updating old brochure stock. Hours are flexible and we can suit your schedule, but we do ask that if pre-scheduled hours
can not be upheld, that we are given plenty of notice beforehand. Volunteers are expected to wear clean and tidy, casual clothing. All ages are welcome. |
